For soup lovers I am sure this is a recipe you will love. I made this for the family a few days ago and they loved it. It’s a simple potato soup recipe but you can add your own touches to suit your own taste
- 6 Russett poatoes
- 2 cups of heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup of milk
- 3 cups of chicken both
- 1 cup of parmesan cheese
- 1 cup of mozzarella cheese
- 4 tablespoons of flour
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 yellow onion
- 5 cloves of garlic
- Morton’s season salt
- Black Pepper
- Crushed red pepper
- If desired you can add bacon bits and kale
- Peel and dice potatoes. Chop onions and garlic. In a medium-sized saucepan saute potatoes, onions and garlic in butter in medium-sized saucepan until potatoes begin to soften and onions and garlic are golden.
Pour in heavy whipping cream, milk and chicken broth and bring to boil. Once mixture comes to a boil lower heat to simmer. If you ae going to use kale, which adds a great flavor and serves as garnishment, you can add at this point.
Slowly add flour whiole stirring. This will cause mixture to thicken a a bit.
Add parmesan and mozzerella cheese and stir while adding. Flavor to tast with salt, black pepper and crushed red pepper.
Cook until potatoes are tender.
Adding bacon bits gives it a wonder flavor
This recipe will serve 5 people generously
